The “are we on yet?” mother of all hashes; Up’s and down’s, little hills and one killer hill. One to remember and my first time as scribe after taking over from “ZE Germans”.

We gathered at Powell’s Estate and immediately noticed the extreme tardiness of Hashmaster Goldilox. Like a good whistleblower, fellow hasher Childbearer promptly reported this dereliction of duty to the resident RA and it was duly noted for later punishment. Childbearer in his turn was ratted on by a former RA after he was found chatting away on his cell to someone he claimed to be his wife. Either way, he took his down down in (one) good spirits.
From Powell’s Estate cricket field parking lot, hash #497 took us to the surrounding highways and by -ways where some astonishing views were on display. Most of these views unfortunately were missed since aeroplanes, blown away markers and killer hills demanded all possible energy and attention. Luckily yours truly was armed with his crackberry so these amazing landscapes received their proper place in Hash House Harrier annals.
Eventually Goldilox made his appearance and resumed his duties of walking, chatting, filming and… Hashmastering. He displayed his talents after completion of aforementioned walkabout and managed to get all hashers present and at attention for the male bashing jokes of the RA. All hashers on location agreed unanimously that this editions joke was not only funny, but for the first time since anyone can remember did not mention the word “penis”.
As virgins and offenders alike received their due portion of hazing, hash #497 was filed into the archives as hot yet breezy, elevating yet bloody steep, picturesque yet sweaty and the best part was that nobody noticed I didn’t carry that bloody pencil!!! (By the time Goldilox noticed all down downs had been concluded). I will now spend 2 hard working weeks thinking about who will carry the blighter next 
